Introducing Stratalize Project Controls

It all starts with a foundation. Mine started in Ohio. My dad drove a truck, my mom worked at a steel factory, and my grandfather drove a school bus. I was the first in my family to attend college, at West Virginia University. I grew up around people who built things, fixed things, and took responsibility for their work.

My career took me into software. Over roughly fifteen years in sales across legal technology and legal automation, I learned how much trust depends on being able to explain what happened. When software touches contracts, money, or compliance, people need to know where information came from, what changed, and who approved it.

I carried that into Stratalize. AI made it possible to turn years of customer experience into a product, but it also made those questions harder to ignore. Software could produce a convincing answer and then act on it. I wanted customers to be able to inspect the work and know whether it was worth paying for.

Today, we’re announcing Stratalize Project Controls, live and available to teams managing complex construction projects.

Early on, a PM shared a district’s response to a baseline schedule submittal with twenty-eight numbered comments. Some required substantive schedule fixes, but more than half concerned things like missing reports, filename conventions, and the project manager’s letter.

Getting the calculations right was one part of the job. Getting the whole package accepted took considerable work too. Those documents would remain part of the project record, supporting payments, explaining decisions, and potentially answering questions years later. That was familiar territory from legal technology and gave the foundation we’d built a practical purpose in construction.

Stratalize works with the schedules a contractor already uses, helping teams maintain them, check requirements, respond to district comments, and prepare supporting packages.

The core of the product is a deterministic Critical Path Method, or CPM, engine that we built to handle the scheduling calculations. It uses the schedule’s activities, durations, calendars, relationships, and constraints to calculate timing, float, and what’s driving completion. We test its finish dates and downstream cascades against the scheduling tool’s own output on real schedules across multiple update cycles.

The engine works alongside AI that reads specifications, organizes comments, and drafts proposed changes. A project manager can describe a change or provide a spreadsheet, then review its calculated effect before approving it. Once approved, the updated schedule exports in the same file format and version it came in.

The supporting package receives the same attention. Checks cover contract specifications, district requirements, and measures such as the DCMA 14-Point Assessment. Drafted narratives and responses cite the relevant spec section, contract clause, or correspondence. Reviewers can see what the AI drafted, what a person edited, and what someone verified. Missing support has to be resolved before submission.

The schedule should also help teams decide where to focus and what to prioritize. Stratalize’s critical-path brief shows what’s driving completion, what changed, and what needs attention. Teams can review it in the project dashboard or receive it by scheduled email. We’re extending that view across divisions and portfolios so leadership can identify which projects need attention and follow a concern down to an activity and its supporting record. Existing schedule updates should answer those questions without requiring the team to prepare another report for every level of management.

Stratalize is built to fit the way teams already work, whether they’re using a tablet in the trailer or a desktop in the office. Teams can start with their existing files, and we’re expanding integrations with the systems that hold their documents and project records, including SharePoint, Procore, and Trimble. Through MCP, our tools are also available to compatible AI assistants, including Claude and ChatGPT. Customers can change assistants while keeping the same scheduling engine, permissions, and project record.

We price by active project, with a defined scope of work that customers can measure through completed deliverables. A contractor should know what a monthly package will cost without translating tokens, credits, and overages into a budget. The real comparison is the cost and time required to complete an update or district response, whether a problem surfaced earlier, and whether the information helped the team make a better decision.

As agents take on more work across systems, that same accountability will matter even more. Stratalize’s signed receipts connect approved actions to their results. We use ML-DSA-65, a post-quantum digital-signature standard, to help verify where a record came from and whether it has been altered. The work still needs sound calculations, supporting sources, and human review.

Our project-controls tools are also live through x402 on Base. You can pay for an individual task and receive the result with a verifiable record connecting the payment, authorization, and completed work. That’s how we’re putting our thinking about the agentic economy into practice.

I want project managers and schedulers to spend less time gathering files, assembling packages, and reconstructing last month’s changes. Their time is better spent on the decisions that need their experience. I grew up around people whose work had to hold up after they left the job, and my career taught me to ask the same of software. That’s the foundation we’re building on.
